Agrizzi, Smith corruption case could be separated

The Palm Ridge Specialised Crimes Court will determine whether the trial of between former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi and former ANC MP Vincent Smith need to be separated.

This after Agrizzi failed to appear in court again on Friday due to health concerns.
Smith faces corruption charges in his personal capacity as well as in his capacity as sole director and shareholder of Euroblitz (Pty) Ltd.
Agrizzi suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while receiving treatment in hospital in October last year.
"The postponement to the 08th of July is to allow to assess the health of Agrizzi and then make a determination whether to separate the trial of the two accused per have been charged with corruption," says ID spokesperson Sindisiwe Seboka.
"Smith alone faces an additional charge of fraud and facing corruption charge in his personal capacity as well as in his capacity as sole director and shareholder of Euroblitz."
