AIDS 2016: Faith-based groups can do more to tackle HIV stigma

Delegates have heard that the role of faith-based organisations in the fight against HIV/AIDS has grown and their attitude towards those living with the disease has improved over the past 30 years.
An interactive briefing by faith-based organisations has been held at the AIDS 2016 Conference at the Durban ICC.
Sandra Thurman is the Chief Strategy Officer at the US's President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief.
She says the world needs to get to a place where stigma against those living with HIV/AIDS is low and people are encouraged to know more about the disease.
Anglican Archbishop of Cape Town Thabo Makgoba says churches have better access to communities.
