It's at the Global Village near the Durban ICC and forms part of the International AIDS Conference.

The village will host numerous activities including exhibitions to documentary screenings throughout the week.

Radebe says the South African stand represents hope.

"This exhibition speaks of the consequences of the effects of the HIV virus. It represents the many South Africans who regardless of their genders, sex, age, sexual orientation are forever joined by a common bond.

"It says that our country's story is ultimately a story of hope, a story of possibility, a story of dreams.

"Ours in South Africa is a narrative that affirms that it is ultimately in our hands and AIDS in our lifetime. This exhibition also brings home the truth that memory is a resource" he said.
