Eleven people were killed and 28 injured when a bus and a truck collided on Sunday in southeast Algeria, emergency services said.
Among the dead in the head-on crash 60 kilometres (37 miles) from Ouargla were four women and a two-year-old child, the APS news agency cited civil defence officials as saying. Most traffic accidents in Algeria are attributed to human error
or speeding, police say.
