Alleged girlfriend killer back in court
27-year-old Sandile Mantsoe is expected back in the Johannesburg Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Mantsoe stands accused of killing and burning Mokoena's body in a veld in Lyndhurst.
He is facing charges of premeditated murder and defeating the ends of justice. Mantsoe, was denied bail in June.
The state submitted in court that Mokoena may have still been alive when she was burnt.
In his affidavit, Mantsoe claimed that Mokoena committed suicide and that he didn't kill her. Mantsoe says he only disposed the body.
Mokoena was reported missing on the 28th of April in Diepkloof Soweto.
Police discovered the body of a burnt woman on the 29th of April in Lyndhurst and further investigations led to the arrest of Mantsoe.
