Analyst: Zuma’s political career nearing its end

Political analyst Professor Somadoda Fikeni says the terms of reference for the commission of inquiry into state capture does not deviate too much from the recommendations made by former Public Protector Thuli Madonsela in her State of Capture report.

"It largely sticks to Thuli Mandonsela’s investigation, though it does have some extended elements. But in the main, it has not have deviated as some would have feared.”
Fikeni believes the commission of inquiry spells the end for President Jacob Zuma’s political career.
"He has become a political risk for the ANC, even the many issues, legal issues, and scandals around him," says Fikeni.
