ANC: Andile Mngxitama must face the full might of the law
The African National Congress (ANC) has called on law enforcement agencies not to leave any stone unturned in prosecuting Black First Land First (BLF) leader Andile Mngxitama.
“Andile Mngxitama will not be tolerated,” the ANC said on Wednesday.
The controversial politician called for white people to be killed during a rally in Potchefstroom at the weekend.
"We will kill their women, we will kill their children, we will kill their dogs, we will kill their cats, we kill anything that comes for us."
The ANC’s acting spokesperson, Dakota Legoete, says the comments are totally unacceptable.

“Where there is no accountability, there’s anarchy and where there’s anarchy it means we will have a failed state.”
This while the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) says it’s assessing the complaints received.
A hate speech probe is underway by the human rights regulator.
Mngxitama has been seen on several occasions with former President Jacob Zuma during his court appearances in KwaZulu-Natal.
Legoete denied that it could be an endorsement of the leader, adding that “Zuma knows the policy positions of the ANC in this regard”.
“He must face the might of the law. It’s clear from the Constitution that racial segregation, discrimination and any call for a racial war is not what we subscribe to,” says Legoete.
