ANC to announce additional NEC members

The ANC's electoral committee chairperson Kgalema Motlanthe is set to announce the names of 80 additional members of the party's national executive committee (NEC).
The party adjourned its national conference at Nasrec in Johannesburg on Tuesday, while delegates continued to vote for the additional members.
The 80 members will join the top seven officials elected on Sunday and announced on Monday.
The NEC is the party’s highest decision-making body in between conferences.
Some of the issues the new NEC will need to deal with include tabling the outstanding reports from the integrity commission on the Phala Phala farm saga involving President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Digital Vibes report involving former health minister Zweli Mkhize and dealing with the four members of Parliament who voted in favour of adopting the section 89 independent panel report on Phala Phala.
Mosebenzi Zwane, Mervyn Dirks, Supra Mahumapelo and Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma were the only four members of the governing party to vote for the adoption of the report.
