Updated | By Samkelo Maseko
The ANC in the Johannesburg region says they are in talks with the EFF on issues of common interest.
The ANC briefed the media on the first 94 days Mayor Herman Mashaba has been in office this morning.
An organisation that has been pushed to the opposition benches, is learning opposition politics.
Regional Secretary Dada Morero says they are in talks with the EFF on community programs for the poor.
The ANC also says they want to defend the gains made whilst in office at all costs.
"The ANC in Greater Johannesburg, working with alliance partners and communities, will defend at all times the gains achieved over the years. We will do so in council chambers, in the court of law and if needs be, we will do so in the streets of Johannesburg," says the party's Geoff Makhubo.
