Ethekwini mayor Zandile Gumede is set to learn her fate on Tuesday.
The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal is set to announce the fate of Ethekwini mayor Zandile Gumede at a press briefing in Durban on Wednesday.
The party’s provincial executive committee has been deliberating on Gumede’s future over the past few days.
Gumede was placed on extended special leave after she was arrested on charges of fraud and corruption relating to a 2016 multi-million rand waste tender.

Gumede was granted R50 000 bail in the commercial crimes court last month along with councillor Mondli Mthembu and businessman Craig Ponnan.
The Hawks say service providers were allegedly paid some R208-million, but the municipality did not receive anything in return.
Both the South African Communist Party (SACP) and the African National Youth League (ANCYL) in the province have called for her removal.
