ANC to march against racism
Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
The African National Congress will march to the Union Buildings on Friday.
The ruling party says the march for unity, non-racialism and democracy was part of an ongoing programme to confront and intensify the fight against racism.
ANC spokesperson Keith Khoza says recent racial spats are moving the country backwards.
"We believe that the recent racial expressions by certain individuals are taking this country backwards. The ANC is committed to forge ahead with the programme of non-racialism", he says.
ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe will hand over a memorandum to President Jacob Zuma on Friday, 19 February.
