"The ANC appeals to you to please follow the rules so that we can all be kept safe and healthy. The coronavirus has already taken two lives, we hope and pray no more lives will be taken. Remember that the virus has no distinction between who you are, where you work and what you do," says deputy secretary-general Jessie Duarte.
The party has called on law enforcement and the South African National Defence Force (SANDF)to continue arresting people who are violating the regulations by congregating and consuming alcohol.
