Jacaranda FM News took to the streets and asked South Africans what policies would they want to see changed.

"I know about the conference but I only have one thing to say: the Guptas must go!" one woman said.

Another said she was not even aware that the conference is taking place.

"I don't know about the conference because I am too busy with my own life and what impact will it have on my life?"

Issues of unemployment and sustainable development came up when speaking to ordinary South Africans.

"We need employment for the youth, especially while our economy is also not doing well. When it comes to education, nothing that we've learnt in school has really aided us in the workplace."
