ANCYL in KZN demands justice for Magaqa

The ANC Youth League in KwaZulu-Natal says it wants justice for murdered Umzimkhulu councillor Sindiso Magaqa.
The league's comments follow the arrest of senior provincial ANC member and Harry Gwala District Mayor, Mluleki Ndobe, in connection with Magaqa's killing.
The youth league's provincial secretary, Thanduxolo Sabelo says Ndobe was taken into custody over the weekend.
"He was taken in on Sunday morning. We were then made aware that he might appear in court today which then got postponed for tomorrow," Sabelo said.
Magaqa, who was a former national secretary-general of the ANC Youth League, was gunned down in ambush in Umzimkhulu in July and died in a Durban hospital in 2017.
Sabelo says they were shocked by the news.
"A PWC member of the ANC has been one of the people suspected in this murder. In the Harry Gwala region as the youth league, we have been consistent that it has reached a boiling point. It needs to have a serious intervention from the ANC and law enforcement agencies.”
Ndobe and another suspect are expected to appear in the local magistrates court on Tuesday.
