ANCYL ordered to behave at Kathrada memorial
Updated | By Sibahle Motha
Civic body Active Citizens Movement has been granted a court interdict, following threats by the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) that it would disrupt this afternoon's memorial service for struggle veteran Ahmed Kathrada.

The ANCYL will be allowed to attend the memorial, but will not be allowed to disrupt proceeding. If it does, its members will be removed.
The movement's Ben Madokwe says the ANCYL threatened to "immediately correct" anyone who spoke out against President Jacob Zuma.
"We perceived those statements as threats to our speakers that if maybe they do not toe the line, they would be intimidated."
Madokwe says the South African Police Service (SAPS) also has a copy of the interdict, and will act should any disruptions occur.
"Anyone who disrupts the event will be removed from the venue."
Ahmed Kathrada's memorial will take place this afternoon at Sastri College in Durban.
Former Minister of Finance Pravin Gordhan will be the main speaker and will be joined by Albertina Luthuli, the granddaughter of Chief Albert Luthuli.
Efforts to reach the ANCYL have been unsuccessful.
