A decision regarding Jacob Zuma's future as president of the country is set to be announced soon.
This is according to African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa.
Ramaphosa issued a statement stating that President Zuma's position will be communicated further once all pertinent matters have been finalised.
"The constructive process we have embarked on offers the greatest opportunity to conclude this matter without discord or division," says Ramaphosa.
Discussions between Ramaphosa and President Zuma began on Tuesday night, following the postponement of the State of the Nation Address earlier the afternoon.
