Another big jump in Covid-19 cases - Mkhize

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize announced on Tuesday
that the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country now
stands at 11 350.
Mkhize was speaking at a special ceremony to commemorate International Nurses Day in KwaZulu-Natal.
The 698 new cases constitutes the biggest one-day jump since the
start of the outbreak in South Africa.
Mkhize also revealed that the number of health workers infected
with the virus now stands at 580.
“On behalf of my department I would like to dedicate this day to all our nurses especial those who lost their lives to the pandemic, their contribution to fight the pandemic is immeasurable.”
He also reiterated the commitment that no nurse would be allowed to care for a patient without the necessary protective equipment.
