Another group of foreign visitors robbed

The police have confirmed that seven foreigners were robbed in Johannesburg. One of the victims is reportedly injured.

The group was approached by a group of armed men, while at a traffic light on Corlett Drive Thursday evening.
They were robbed of their personal belongings including cash, luggage and jewelry.
The police's specialized unit has been tasked to investigate. No one has been arrested.
"The foreign visitors arrived from George to Gauteng. The specialized crime unit has been working around the clock since the incident occured. We call on anyone with information to contact the police. All information will treated with the strictest confidence" says the police's Vish Naidoo

Reports indicate that the group that was robbed are Iraqi diplomats, however police will not confirm this.
City of Joburg mayor Herman Mashaba tweeted that the news was devastating.

Last month, 36 Dutch tourists were robbed by a group of men, including one who was dressed as a police officer.
