Another legal blow for Hlaudi Motsoeneng
The Western Cape High Court has declared the appointment of Hlaudi Motsoeneng as Group Executive of Corporate Affairs at the SABC unlawful.
In October, the DA filed papers to have Motsoeneng's appointment as Group Executive of Corporate Affairs declared invalid.
This, after he was appointed to that position after his appointment to his previous position as Chief Operations Officer was also declared unlawful and set aside.
DA spokesperson, Mabine Seabe says this is a damning judgement for the SABC.

"This judgement sets aside Hlaudi Motsoeneng's appointment at the public broadcaster, but it also indicates the SABC and its board acted inconsistently with the constitution of SA," Seabe said.
The DA's James Selfe has welcomed the ruling, saying they are pleased that they have also been awarded costs.
