Another major truck crash on N1 in Joburg

Johannesburg metro police spokesperson Xolani Fihla says the truck was travelling on the N1 when it crashed through the barricade on Wednesday morning.

The truck was involved in a crash on the N1 at the Albertina Sisulu Road exit in Maraisburg.
JMPD spokesperson Xolani Fihla says three left lanes are affected, while the two right lanes are operational.
"The three left lanes are affected, and the two right lanes are operational from the information received the truck was traveling on the N1 South when it crashed through the barricade and stopped at the N1 North.
"Traffic is heavily backed up on the N1 North leaving Soweto."
Fihla urges motorists to be patient and use alternative routes.
"Motorists are urged to be patient at this moment. Avoid the N1 going between Soweto and Maraisburg and use alternative routes."
