Another win for MK as court dismisses ANC trademark case
Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
Durban High Court has dismissed the ANC's trademark case against the MK party with costs.

The ANC dragged former president Jacob Zuma's new party to court, accusing it of breaching trademark laws by adopting the uMkhonto weSizwe name and logo.
The governing party argued they're similar to those used by its disbanded military wing.
On Monday, Acting Judge Nicolette Beket dismissed the ANC's application.
The MK party’s legal representative, Advocate Dali Mpofu, argued that the position of the spear their logo, compared to the ANC's logo, is enough to show they are not the same.
The application was submitted just a day after the Electoral Court dismissed the ANC's application for the Independent Electoral Commission to de-register the MK party ahead of the May polls.
That application was also dismissed.
In December, former President Jacob Zuma announced his support for uMkhonto weSizwe and has since become the face of the party.
