Armed robbers storm jewellery stores in Mbombela mall

Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Riverside Mall in Mbombela.

Two jewellery stores were robbed, confirms police spokesperson Davie Pretorius.
"There was an armed robbery at Riverside Mall. Apparently 12 suspects robbed Arthur Kaplan and Browns Jewellers," he says.
The robbers hit just before closing time at 18:00.
No one had been injured and no arrests have yet been made.
Police are still on scene.

This is the second mall robbery in Mbombela in less than a week.
Eight suspects held up the iStore in i'Langa Mall on Friday.
Nobody was injured.
