Ashes found in murder suspect's backyard
Updated | By Laila Majiet
The remains of a woman, believed to Meisie Molefe, has been dug up in the backyard of her partner and father of her child's home.

Gauteng police confirm the remains had been dug up yesterday.
Police spokesperson Kay Makhubela says they received information that her boyfriend (38) had killed her.
"We exhumed the remains in Stinkwater yesterday," he confirms.
Molefe (36) was reported missing by her partner in October.
"On Thursday police went to a complainant's house where they received information that the boyfriend may have killed her."
Makhubela says the boyfriend was not at home when police first followed up on this information.
"He later confessed that the woman was killed and buried at the back of his house. The body was burned to ashes."
The suspect will be charged with murder and will appear in court within 48 hours.
Tests will be done to confirm whether it is in fact the ashes of Molefe as well as the cause of death.
