Ashwin Willemse: 'Evidence of racism’ at SuperSport
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
The lawyer representing former Springbok winger has asked SuperSport to release all the evidence used in the probe into his clash with fellow analysts Nick Mallett and Naas Botha.

Willemse claims there are emails which clearly shows that SuperSport is plagued by racism.
He says the email correspondence were not used in the investigation which found that racism played no part in the incident where Willemse walked off set during a live broadcast in May.
The probe by Advocate Vincent Maleka has been heavily criticised.
Willemse's lawyer Nqobizitha Mlilo says the emails portrays a picture of racism and they have requested the broadcaster to hand it over.

Mlilo and Willemse met with SuperSport management at the company's studios in Randburg on Friday.
“We attended the meeting in the spirit of reconciliation and finding a solution, and regrettably the meeting did not have the spirt we thought it would have. As such the meeting was almost meaningless and inconsequential.”
Mlilo says Willemse will forge ahead with his Equality Court bid but first wants the emails.

“In the intervening period, we have discovered that there were email correspondences sent to SuperSport which vindicates what Ashwin is saying about the issue of racism. We are now going to request that SuperSport provides us with copies of those emails and what the replies of those emails were.”
