ATM heads to court over secret ballot in Ramaphosa no-confidence motion
The African Transformation Movement (ATM) has vowed to approach the High Court in its battle to secure a secret ballot in the no-confidence motion against President Cyril Ramaphosa.
"The ATM has already briefed its lawyers to interdict the irrational decision of the Speaker.
"It is not the intention of the ATM to litigate in public and therefore the ATM will not publicly discuss the merits of what would be contained in the interdict, safe to say the ATM rejects the open ballot as it can only be a sham.
"Once the legal papers are drawn up and submitted to court, the ATM will share those openly."

The vote of no confidence against Ramaphosa will be an open vote, National Assembly Speaker Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula said on Thursday.
She invited parties to contest the decision if they would prefer a secret ballot.
On the same day, a DA motion of no confidence in Ramaphosa's entire cabinet will also be debated.
Both motions will be debated and voted on at the end of the month.
