A new-born baby was found dead in a dustbin on DF Malan Drive in Vanderbijlpark on Sunday evening, Gauteng paramedics said.
A new-born baby was found dead in a dustbin on DF Malan Drive in Vanderbijlpark on Sunday evening, Gauteng paramedics said.
"Shortly after 5pm paramedics from ER24 were alerted to the scene along DF Malan Drive," ER24 spokesman Werner Vermaak said.

"When they arrived on [the] scene an elderly man indicated that he noticed the new-born baby boy lying in one of the dustbins. On further inspection paramedics found the baby.
"Sadly, it appears as if the baby has been in the bin and dead for some time. They declared him dead and handed the scene over to the local police service," Vermaak said.
