The Rustenburg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday denied bail to a 19-year-old charged with the murder of another pupil at the local bus rank earlier this month.

Lethabo Sibanda died after he was stabbed with a sharp object in the throat, allegedly by Blessing Tladi.
On 2 June police responded to reports of a stabbing at the Rustenburg taxi rank, where they found a crowd gathered around the teenager’s lifeless body that had been covered with a blanket.
The grade 12 pupil from Hoer Tegniese Skool was laid to rest at the weekend.
“According to bystanders, the victim was a learner from a high school in Rustenburg, and he allegedly fought with another pupil from the other school who in turn recruited a group of other learners to attack the victim's group,” police said at the time.
Tladi allegedly fled the scene after the incident but was later arrested.
He faces charges of murder and attempted murder after another pupil was stabbed in the same incident.
The case has been remanded until 27 July for further investigation.
