Bathabile Dlamini: There is patriarchy in ANC

ANC Women's League president Bathabile Dlamini has raised issue with patriarchy within the ruling party.

She was speaking on the sidelines of the ANC National Policy Conference.

Dlamini said women must be respected and can be elected into leadership positions in the ANC.
"No one must behave as if we were given opportunities on a platter."
Meanwhile, the women's league has taken issue with party officials openly opposing President Jacob Zuma.

Dlamini believes there are external forces which wish to see the ANC fail.
It is day two of the policy conference in the south of Johannesburg.
