Bathabile Dlamini: 'Zuma's illness is trivialised, turned into a joke'
Updated | By Lulutho Mkosi
African National Congress Women's League (ANCWL) President Bathabile Dlamini has lashed out at recent developments in the corruption case against former president Jacob Zuma.

In a statement released by Dlamini in her personal capacity, she says she believes the issuing of a warrant of arrest by the court is a "travesty to justice".

She refers to the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Dhaya Pillay and which will be acted upon should Zuma fail to appear in the Pietermaritzburg High Court on May 6.
This comes after Zuma did not appear in court on Tuesday, where he faces charge of corruption related to the multibillion-rand arms deal.
Zuma's legal team handed in a doctor's note which confirmed that he is receiving medical treatment abroad.
In her statement, Dlamini strongly criticises those who demand more information about the former president's illness.
"Instead of having sympathy and respecting, or protecting his constitutional rights, there are sectors of society that want to destroy Zuma at all costs.
"Cde President Zuma is a struggle hero who together many other comrades sacrificed all his life for the freedom and democracy we enjoy today."
She adds that the 77-year old Zuma is no longer in good health.
