Bester, Magudumana in court on Friday to stop Showmax doccie

MultiChoice has confirmed that it will oppose a court application by convicted murderer and rapist Thabo Bester.
Bester, known as the Facebook rapist, wants to prevent digital streaming site Showmax from airing a documentary on his life.
The documentary called 'Tracking Thabo Bester' is set to premiere on Friday.
His ex-girlfriend Dr Nandipha Magudumana has also filed an urgent application to interdict the documentary.
The matter will be heard in High Court in Johannesburg on Friday.
Showmax legal counsel Steven Budlender says they will be opposing the two applications.
"The allegations against Mr Bester and Dr Magudumana are incredibly serious and Showmax strongly believes that it is essential for viewers to have the opportunity to watch the documentary and form their own informed opinions.
"Showmax is of the view that the attempt to stop Showmax from doing so is without any legal merit and breaches the constitutional rights of the public."
