Bike club apologises for threatening Gqeberha woman at crash scene
Updated | By Doreen Loubser
Allegations around the involvement of more members of the Crusaders Motorcycle Club in the so-called Circular Drive attack in Gqeberha are being investigated by police.
The club has been approached to respond to allegations that more of its members were involved in the altercation at the scene of a crash in June.
The club said the matter was sub judice and stood by an earlier statement issued shortly after the incident.
National President for the Crusaders MC, Mark Groenewald, said the incident had shaken them to the core.
He said the club does not condone any form of violence and behaviour resulting in belligerence as depicted in the incident.

Groenewald apologised on behalf of the club and asked the public not to hold the incident against them.
In a now-viral video, the 29-year-old club member is seen allegedly threatening a 35-year-old woman who was busy filming an altercation involving her boyfriend.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the investigation is ongoing and no new information is available to the public.
Earlier this week, a 29-year-old member of the Crusaders MC appeared in court on a charge of attempted murder and malicious damage to property.
Police spokesperson Priscilla Naidu could not provide a date for this to take place.
The matter is back in court on 17 August.
