Biker killed in Kudu crash
Updated | By Dianne Broodryk
A motorbike rider has been killed on the R512 outside Lanseria when he crashed into a Kudu.
According to ER24’s Werner Vermaak, their paramedics were dispatched to the scene at 07:30 this morning.
“Upon arrival at the scene rider, his bike and the Kudu were lying several meters apart from each other.
"Upon assessment, paramedics found that the rider sustained multiple fatal injuries. The Kudu was also found dead."
Vermaak says a witness explained that he saw the rider and his bike flung into the air, but was not aware that the man collided with the animal.
"It was only when he pulled over to assist when he noticed the animal lying on the side of the road.
It is not known who the Kudu belongs to or why it was in the road."
