Bloemfontein Celtic founder dies

Businessman and founder of Bloemfontein Celtic Soccer club, Rantlai Petrus Molemela, has died.
Molemela (83) died this morning in Bloemfontein.
The circumstances surrounding his death have not yet been established.

Meanwhile condolences have started pouring in for the businessman.
Friend and author of Molemela's autobiography, Charley Pietersen, says he is saddened by the news of his passing.
"South Africa and especially the Free State has lost a rock", he says.
Pietersen adds Molemela was his mentor and coach and became the father he never had.
Mangaung Executive Mayor, Olly Mlamleli, says Molemela will be missed.

"He has put the Free State and Bloemfontein on the map", she said.
"We are happy for the life that he led, and for the teachings he taught us", says Mlamleli.
"To his family and friends, I am sending my message of condolences and may his soul rest in peace", she added.
A detailed media release regarding the details of his death, is expected to be issued later today.
