Blue Bulls player to apply for bail
Updated | By Nathan Daniels
An 18-year-old Blue Bulls rugby player is set to apply for bail in the New Brighton Magistrate's Court in the Eastern Cape on Monday.

The man, who plays for the Blue Bulls' under-21 side, allegedly sexual assaulted a woman in December.
The alleged incident took place in KwaMagxaki in Port Elizabeth.
The National Prosecuting Authority's (NPA) Tsepo Ndwalaza says the player, who cannot be named until he has formally pleaded, will apply for bail.
Makhosi Khoza's newly formed political party the African Democratic Change is attending the court case in support of the 18-year-old survivor.
Party spokesperson, Feziwe Ndwayana, says the motive behind their attendance is to reiterate their call that prominent people should not be treated with kid gloves.
"The justice system works for people who have money. This family they don't have money to get a proper lawyer. It cannot be that men that are in powerful position, that are celebrated in our society rape women and nothing is done. Because it starts right at the top and goes down to our ordinary people in our communities that think they can violate women and do as they please."
It is reported that the rugby player is being represented by well-known Port Elizabeth attorney Danie Gouws, but the NPA's Ndwalaza was unable to confirm.
