BMA denies new system the cause for delays at OR Tambo
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The Border Management Authority has denied claims that a new system at OR Tambo International Airport has led to delays in processing travellers.

This comes after reports of delays in the processing of international arrivals and departures at the country's biggest airport due to the switch to a new biometric system.
BMA spokesperson Mmemme Mokgotsi said the reports have caused unnecessary concern among travellers.
"The BMA prioritises law enforcement activities at all port, as well as the safety and security of all individuals entering and exiting the country.
"Our systems incorporate advanced security features to detect and prevent unauthorised entry.
"The BMA also collaborates closely with various stakeholders such as Airports Company South Africa and customs authorities to ensure a seamless border management process."
