Bodies of 3 suspected illegal miners found on wheelbarrows in Limpopo

Limpopo police are investigating the deaths of three men whose bodies were discovered on wheelbarrows in Burgersfort.

The bodies of the three men, who are suspected illegal miners, were found next to Mooihoek village in Driekop on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Hlulani Mashaba said they were tipped off about suspicious people pushing wheelbarrows.
"Preliminary investigations by police found that the deceased was allegedly injured by rocks while engaging in illegal mining activities at Mooihoek village,
"Police opened three cases of inquest for further investigations," he said
Two of the three deceased have been identified as Tagwireyi Matthew, aged 21, and 38-year-old Masukume Vongani.
The third deceased has not been identified.
