Body of missing Cyferskuil teen found, boyfriend arrested
North West police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with the murder of his girlfriend.
Karabo Monyama was reported missing on Sunday after leaving her home in Cyferskuil, near Makapanstad.
The 15-year-old girl's body was found decomposed at her boyfriend's backyard.
She was buried in a shallow grave.
"She left home to watch soccer at a nearby field. However, she never returned back home. A search was conducted around the neighbourhood without any success,” said police spokesperson Amanda Funani.
"The suspect was charged with murder, perjury and defeating the ends of justice."
He is set to appear in the Moretele Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
