Updated | By Olivia Phalaetsile
A body of a woman found Tuesday morning in Randfontein is believed to be that of missing estate agent Hanle Lategan.
Police spokesperson Captain Appel Ernst said the body was found by school children in the wetlands next to a stream.
"The body fits the description of the estate agent who was reported missing yesterday, but the family has to first identify the body," Ernst said.
Lategan went missing around 6.00pm on Monday. She was expected at a work appointment, but did not arrive.
Ernst said her car was found in front of the Krugersdorp Private Hospital.
"After investigations, her car was found in front of Krugersdorp Private Hospital. There was also an attempt to withdraw money from her bank account in Krugersdorp," she said.
Ernst says Lategan's family has been notified to come identify the body of the woman found.
