Bomb blast during prayers at Nigerian mosque

At least 50 people have died in a bomb blast at a mosque in the north-eastern town of Mubi, Nigeria.

An explosion ripped through the place of worship during early morning prayers on Tuesday.
A suicide bomber is believed to be behind the blast.
Local security guard Aliyu Yahya Kowagol, spoke to Jacaranda FM News by telephone, and says he was in earshot of the explosion.
He says a group of people were praying in the mosque at the time of the explosion.
The blast happened at the Madina mosque in the Unguwar Shuwa area of Mubi, about 200 kilometres by road from the Adamawa state capital, Yola.
Several other people were also injured.
A state police spokesperson told AFP that the bomber had mingled with worshippers.
Adamawa state police spokesman says: "He entered the mosque along with other worshippers for the morning prayers. It was when the prayers were on that he set off his explosives."
