Boy drowns at Melkbosstrand

A seven-year-old boy drowned when he was swept out to sea at Melkbosstrand, Cape Town, on Monday afternoon, the NSRI said.
A seven-year-old boy drowned when he was swept out to sea at Melkbosstrand, Cape Town, on Monday afternoon, the NSRI said.
The boy, from Atlantis, was swimming with two friends in calm seas when he was caught in a rip current around 2pm, National Sea Rescue Institute Melkbosstrand station commander Rhine Barnes said in a statement.
Rescue swimmers found his body during a search of the water.
