THIRTEEN ARRESTED AT UNIVERSITY OF LIMPOPO'S TURFLOOP CAMPUS: Thirteen people have been arrested after yesterday's violence and looting at the University of Limpopo's Turfloop Campus. Police spokesperson Col. Ronel Otto says damaged caused is extensive. Last week the University's vice-chancellor Mahlo Mokgalong addressed the students but protesters remained resolute and unshaken and added to their list of demands from the university. They demanded Mokgalong get rid of corrupt officials while university management and government sought to find solutions for the fees crisis. They also demanded that university management must ensure students with outstanding fees were not blocked from registering to study next year. Students also appealed to Mokgalong to ensure they complete their yearend examinations.

ACADEMIC ACTIVITES RESUME AT WITS: All academic programmes and University activities will resume at the Wits University tomorrow. The University management and Students' Representative Council late yesterday managed to reached resolution on a series of proposals put forward by management. Tensions were high as students were divided on whether they should continue their protest or getting back behind the books and write their year-end exams. Silindelo Masikane reports.

TUT AND UP ON TRACK TO RESUME ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES: The Tshwane University of Technology also announced that campuses would re-open tomorrow, while activities at the University of Pretoria resume today. This, after the vice-chancellor, Cheryl de la Rey yesterday assured students, occupying the student facilities building, that the no fee-increase decision will be applicable on all on-campus facilities and services, including food and housing. FLIGHTS NORMALISED AT O.R. TAMBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: The flight schedule has been normalised at the OR Tambo International, after yesterday's emergency landing by a British Airways Boeing that flew in from Port Elizabeth. The landing gear did not unlock properly as the Airports Company's Colin Naidoo explains.

NUM MEMBERS ON STRIKE NEAR BURGERSFORT: The National Union of Mineworkers says 500 of its members have been on strike at the ASA Dikolong mine near Burgersfort in Limpopo. The NUM's, Joseph Montisetsi says they downed tools late last week.
SA REF APPOINTED AS TMO DURING RUGBY WORLD CUP FINAL: South African referee Shaun Veldsman has been appointed as the television match official for the Rugby World Cup final between New Zealand and Australia at Twickenham in London, England, on Saturday. Veldsman will be the only South African involved in the final. Nigel Owens has been appointed to referee the final. The 44-year-old from Wales is a veteran of 67 tests but on Saturday at 6pm SA time he will take charge of the biggest match of his career to date.

TREVOR NOAH HAS A NEW GIRLFRIEND? Trevor Noah has only just settled in in New York City after landing the gig as host of the Daily Show, or he is being followed by the paparazzi. According to US Weekly the handsome South African comedian is being romantically linked to model, Jordyn Taylot. The magazine published an article saying that Trevor Noah introduced his new girlfriend, model Jordyn Taylor, at his Daily Show premiere party in NYC last week. "Taylor, who originally hails from Los Angeles lives with Noah on the Upper West Side and works at Ram, modelling in the dealer's auto shows," the magazine wrote.

WORLD LEADERS DOING THEIR DAILY DUTIES: A digital artist has published a series of photographs of world leaders sitting on the throne. The exhibition, called Their Daily Duty, has reached millions on social media and present imagined intimate moments of President Obama, President Putin, Queen Elizabeth and even Pope Francis all seated on the toilet.
