US VOTES ON VISAS: American lawmakers voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to impose restrictions making it more difficult for visitors to Iraq, Syria and countries listed as supporting terrorism to travel visa-free to the United States. The House of Representatives voted 407 to 19 in support of the Visa Waiver Program Improvement Act of 2015, a bill backed by the White House in the aftermath of the deadly attacks in Paris that were conducted by extremists who could have travelled to America without a visa. This, as Republican presidential front-runner, Donal Trump has drawn sharp criticism from the world over - after his comment that the US should impose a travel ban to the country on all Moslems. SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR LIMPOPO MURDER: Three suspects were arrested last night in the Heanertsburg area in Limpopo, in connection with the murder of 67-year-old Rina Langenhoven on a farm over the weekend. One of the suspects - aged between 32 and 46-years-old - is a former employee on the farm, Sliver Mist. They are due to appear in the Polokwane Magistrates' Court tomorrow on charges of murder and house robbery.

NPA PLEASED WITH OUTCOME OF OSCAR PISTORIUS CASE: The National Prosecuting Authority is pleased with yesterday's Oscar Pistorius proceedings in the High Court in Pretoria. The disgraced, broke Paralympian has to pay R10 000 bail by Friday, so that he can stay under house arrest in his uncle's Waterkloof home. He is due back in court on the 18th of April next year for sentencing proceedings after his culpable homicide conviction was changed by the Supreme Court of Appeal to that of murder. The NPA's Luvuyo Mfaku said outside court, that Pistorius is well within his rights to approach the Constitutional Court to oppose this move and that the law must run its course.

FLABBA TRIAL DRAWS TO A CLOSE: Judgement in the trial of Sindisiwe Manqele - for the murder of her boyfriend,  rapper Nkululeko Flabba Habedi - is expected to be handed down today in the High court sitting in Randburg. Manqele stabbed her rapper boyfriend in the heart in March this year, claiming it was in self-defence. Silindelo Masikane has more.
