Brits mom, son tied to a tree during a robbery
Updated | By Karabo Tebele
Robbers dragged a mother and her son from their house to a nearby bush and tied them to a tree to ransack their home.
North West police say the 50-year-old mother and her 20-year-old son were watching TV when the armed men entered their house in Krokodildrift West on Saturday evening.
Spokesperson Adele Myburgh says three men with knives then entered the room, tied them with electrical cords to a tree outside their house whilst stealing electrical equipment, a gas stove, jewellery and a cell phone.
“The son managed to free himself and assisted the mother to get loose and both went to neighbors for assistance.
“The son was during the incident hit at the back with a stick and sustained minor injuries, and the mother was unharmed,” says Myburgh.
A manhunt has been launched for the suspects.
