'This bunch is not going to fix Eskom' - Cosatu on Eskom board
Updated | By Nokukhanya Mntambo
The Congress for South African Trade Unions (Cosatu) has again called for the immediate removal of the Eskom board.

This comes after Eskom's executives presented the power utility's annual report to Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises last week.
The report revealed a net loss of R21 billion in the last financial year.
Cosatu spokesperson Sizwe Pamla says the current board is only making the situation worse.
"This board has been given two years to fix Eskom. Their latest report to the Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises was very disappointing to say the least. They came across as people who do not have a plan.
"This bunch is not going to help us fix Eskom."

Eskom to challenge Nersa tariff decision in court
The embattled power utility says the court challenge is necessary to avoid a financial disaster. In March, the regulator granted Eskom tariff increases of 9.4%, 8.1% and 5.2% over the next three years.
The trade union federation has also called for stricter measures to be put in place for any bailout given the Eskom.
"As Cosatu we want a forensics report so that we can get a clear picture as to where this money is going," says Pamla.
Last week National Treasury presented conditions of the Special Appropriation Bill, which allocated R59-billion to Eskom over the next two years.
