Burning tyres and rocks blocking N3
A group of protest from Alexandra are blocking the N3 north by the Marlboro off ramp with burning tyres and rocks. Johannesburg Metro Police spokesperson Wayne Minaar says residents are protesting over housing issues.

"Protestors want to occupy the flats that have just been built in Alexandra."
Minnaar gave an assurance to motorists that the highway will be cleared soon.
"We should be clearing the highway in the next 5 - 10 minutes," he said.
