Cable theft halt train services in the north of Tshwane
Updated | By Neo Motloung
Gauteng Metrorail says their train services have been severely disrupted between Mabopane and Dewildt on Thursday morning due to cable theft.
Acting Gauteng Metrorail Spokesperson, Tony Games, says drivers informed them that they could not run trains due to stolen overhead cables.
He adds trains cannot be operated from Mabopane and Garankuwa in the north of the capital, all the way to Pretoria.
"We have sent our technical teams there to replace stolen cables," says Games.
He urges commuters to use alternative transport until the matter is resolved.
