Calls for justice after PMB doctor found dead
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union in KZN has called for swift arrests following the murder of a Pietermaritzburg paediatrician.
Doctor Zamambo Mkhize worked at Harry Gwala Hospital.
Her partner reported her missing last week when she did not return home from work.
Three days ago, police discovered her battered body in the boot of her car on J18 Road in Unit J in Imbali.
She had also been shot.
"We are calling upon all law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned and find the perpetrators,” says Nehawu's Ayanda Zulu. “This is happening while our country is experiencing a shortage of doctors."
