Car dealer writes off customer's Lamborghini
Updated | By Staff Writer
A hapless car dealer wrote off a £100,000 Lamborghini supercar he was delivering to a customer in a 25mph pile up.
Red-faced Kurt Schmidt was taking the Lambo Murcielago - capable of 211mph - to its new owner in Boblingen, Germany, when his hand slipped.
"I was only doing 40km/h when I accidentally changed down a gear," he told police. "But the revs were too high for the gear and I shot forward right into the rear of the truck," added Schmidt.
Snaps of the crash show the whole of the sports car's front end completely crushed by the accident. "Nobody was injured but the car is a complete mess," said a police spokesman.
