Carl Niehaus vows to appeal ANC suspension

The African National Congress (ANC) has temporarily suspended uMkhonto We Sizwe Military Veterans Association (MKMVA) spokesperson Carl Niehaus.
The governing party informed Niehaus of his suspension in a letter on Wednesday.
In the letter, the ANC accused Niehaus of making inflammatory speeches about the party during the mass gathering at the Nkandla home of former president Jacob Zuma at the weekend
Niehaus has confirmed the receipt of the suspension letter.
"Yes, I have received a letter of temporary suspension pending further disciplinary action by the African National Congress.
"I will appeal this temporary suspension immediately and I will deal with it in terms of the rules and regulations and constitution of the ANC."
Earlier, Niehaus accused the party's national executive committee (NEC) of disbanding the MKMVA due to its support of Zuma.
