The matter
against Limpopo primary school teacher accused of raping a 13-year-old grade 7
pupil has been postponed again.

The 58-year-old teacher, who cannot be named to protect the identity of victim, appeared for the third time at Mankweng Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
"This matter is adjourned up until 24 April 2025 for arguments by both the state and the defence. Accused, you are in custody. No bail at this stage," said Magistrate Venus Makhubela.
During cross-examination and argument of evidence by defence and state, it was established that the teacher has resigned from his work.
He told the court, through his lawyer advocate Michael Khumalo, that he resigned to undergo an ancestral calling.
The accused teacher was arrested in March after his fellow teacher found him allegedly raping the pupil at the school premises in Makotopong outside Polokwane.
The state has alleged that the teacher sexually assaulted the pupil several times between July 2024 and March this year.
He faces charges of rape and sexual grooming of a minor.
